Latest ONS statistics published today confirm that nearly 1 in 4 households still lack the Internet at home. Cost remains an issue with 19% saying they can't afford the equipment and 13% saying they can't afford Broadband. Many of these households have schoolage children in them - surely now is the time for all schools and parents to work together and pool their resources so that children from disadvantaged backgrounds have the same access at home that better off kids have for homework, coursework and revision. We urge schools to get in touch with us and make the digital divide history.
